======

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/02/election-2020-live-updates-trump-biden.html UPDATED MON, NOV 2 20208:11 PM EST
The polling averages have been steady, showing Joe Biden with a large national lead over President Trump. In swing states, where the election will be decided, polling averages are tighter, although Biden has an edge in most of them. Both candidates are hitting the road today in one last mad dash before the voters who haven’t cast their ballots early head to the polls. Trump will split his time between Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, while Biden will focus mainly on Pennsylvania and a stop in Ohio.
///
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/presidential-polls-trump-biden
Assessing the last polls before the election.A smidge of tightening, but Biden ends with a commanding lead. There wasn’t a lot of room for us to be surprised today, after a week of intensive polling. And indeed, we weren’t too surprised.
///
Nov. 2, 2020 1 day until Election Day
What Trump needs to win:A polling error much bigger than 2016’s. President Trump’s surprising victory in 2016 gave him an aura of political invincibility. But he’s in a far bigger predicament now than the one he faced heading into Election Day in 2016. The polls show Joe Biden with a far more significant lead than the one held by Hillary Clinton, and many of the likeliest explanations for the polling misfire do not appear to be in play today.
Over at The Upshot, I go into the ways the polls are different today than they were in 2016, and what sort of polling error Mr. Trump would need to win at this point. (A big one.)
