配合端午節假期，國防部於2009年5月28日在海軍桃園基地舉辦「營區開放」活動。靜態方面展示S-2T反潛機、S-70C反潛直升機、魚雷掛彈車、R-11油車、T-6消防車、40mm快砲、.50機槍防砲、20mm機砲、復仇者(Avenger)防空飛彈車、中型戰術輪車、M56渦輪發煙機、拖式(TOW)飛彈車等各式武器裝備。動態方面，則有空中兵力操練，包括海軍S-2T反潛機起飛、S-70C反潛直升機性能操演，另有國防部三軍樂儀隊操演、遙控飛機社團表演及園遊會等活動。

海軍航指部駐防在桃園基地的S-70C(M)直升機和S-2T反潛機
在主旋翼和主翼摺收後
其大小應該能放進原先空軍建築的機堡掩體內

海軍還到底要不要桃園基地啊？？
先前不是說海軍後悔、然後是國防部長忘了它的存在嘛？？...........
