應該有四種
Captive air training missiles (CATMs),
訓練彈，無法發射，但有尋標器等電子裝置，可與飛機電子裝置連動供飛行員程序操作訓練，無彈頭，常見彈頭部為金色
dummy air training missile (DATMs),
訓練彈，無法發射，無任何電子裝置，僅為載重訓練或地面裝填訓練用，無彈頭，常見彈頭部為金色
special air training missiles (NATMs),
特殊練習彈，供飛行員射擊訓練用
practice guided weapons (PGWs).
練習彈，可發射，全部電子裝置均有，和實彈差別為練習彈無彈頭，常見彈頭部為藍色。

而DATM也可指為掛載訓練彈？
